Having started our business from nothing there are three key lessons that we have learnt:

  1. Take advantage of the support around you. We have met some great people that have brought in work and assisted us areas where we felt less comfortable.
  1. Understand and influence figures such as your most profitable clients, highest costs etc. For example, people still today only see staff as a cost but they are an income-generating source which when trained successfully can help take your business to levels you yourself could never take it on your own.
  1. “There is never quite enough time in the day” yet we all have the same amount of time in the day as one another; the difference is how we choose to spend it. Take retirement for example, the earlier you plan the greater the likelihood of achieving those goals you first set to achieve.
